  I don't get why this donut shop is so low rated? My guess would be people are expecting some fancy donut shop but obviously this is a small/ family owned shop that has been around for quite some time! The cool part about Chuck's is that it is pretty much 24/7 except for the weekend. This place definitely hits the spot for your donut cravings! My bf and I loved all the donuts we ordered - glazed old fashion, chocolate old fashion, red velvet, blueberry glazed, blueberry, and chocolate covered with sprinkles! Such amazing texture in their donuts and they stay fresh even the day after your purchase. The prices for the donuts are reasonable and the gentleman that helped serve us was very sweet. I would definitely come back here!
  
  Parking is limited (only 6 or so spots). So if you're planning to come in the mornings, it may be packed with people getting their morning breakfast.

  I was very disappointed In this location. I came in to get donuts on a Friday and would never come back. I was there about 5 minutes before anyone noticed I was inside. I kept trying to get an older Asian female's attention and nothing. She finally saw me when she was putting more donuts away. She was also pretty rude when I was trying decide on donuts  and kept saying "want me to choose for you", I finally decided to let her pick the last 4 to complete my dozen. I was very disappointed when I got to work and noticed she has given me about 3-4 old donuts.
  
  So unless you want to be treated with rude employees and pay $13.50 for old donuts I would recommend getting elsewhere.

  Seriously the best donuts around Belmont/San Carlos. Skip the new DD which is a huge disappointment. Chucks Donuts are delish and the staff is super friendly and helpful.  And the donuts are out of this world!!!  Lots of maple and buttermilk.  Plus all the usual.

  I've always passed this place on my way to work. Today I decided to stop and see what kind of donuts they have because how can donuts really go wrong? The selection they had was so cool! There's frosted ones with nuts, sprinkles, coconut, & cereal. I bought a bunch and can't wait to share them with others! If you're craving donuts, go to this place! You might have to come pretty early because I'm sure that the good ones sell out by a certain time. It's cash only, so be sure to bring some since you'll probably end up getting a bunch like I did! I rarely write reviews, but I know I had to share this awesome place!

  apple fritter: the color seemed right and there was a nice crispness to it, but somehow the taste just felt off. it was like the crispness of burnt toast but greasy. further towards the middle it got a little better, but it still lacked the apple bits necessary to make it good.
